THE 9th GATE- Before he got charged with raping  a 15 (i think) year old girl Roman Polanski was a short Polish film director that made movies in the united states. But since “child partying” as it is known doesn’t fly he skipped back to europe and has been living the high life ever since. Oh, did I mention his wife was brutally MURDERED BY THE MANSON FAMILY! If you don’t think life experience like that would alter your storytelling skills then I don’t know what would. In the film we follow Johny Depp as Dean Corso and rare book finder. He’s looking for a satanic text which as the story grows drops him into a world of satanic cults, orgies, murder and some hot model that kinda talks like she is deaf. That hot deaf model, you guessed it, Roman Polanski’s wife! The film covers, noir, horror, thriller and mystery. Johnny Depp plays, from what I can gather, himself. Im sure he is a nice guy but honestly any great actor is bat shit crazy and I wouldn’t be surprised if Johnny Depp had strangled a man with his bare hands.8/10
